We recently had the pleasure of hosting The Field Academy Summer Abroad Program at the Historic Carcassonne Community Center, located in the picturesque mountains of Eastern Kentucky. This renowned program brought together a diverse group of youth from various parts of the world to immerse themselves in the local culture and participate in a memorable event:  On the beautiful pre-summer evening, the Carcassonne Community Center was abuzz with excitement as The Field Academy participants and local youth gathered for a night of camaraderie and fun. The event aimed to foster a sense of community while providing an opportunity for cultural exchange and mutual learning. The evening was filled with joy, cultural exchange, and a celebration of community spirit.

They visited Letcher County during a perfect weekend as there were a lot of activities going on that they were able to take part in: Seedtime, High Knob Music Festival, Juneteenth Celebrations as well as the Carcassonne Youth Night which was a tremendous success. We wish the Field Academy many blessings for a successful trip and hope to see them again in the future.

The visit of The Field Academy Summer Abroad Program to our community center was an exceptional experience for both the participants and the local youth. The Carcassonne Community Center Youth Night showcased the power of cross-cultural exchange, fostering connections that transcend geographical boundaries. We are grateful to The Field Academy for choosing our community center as a venue for their program and for enriching our community with their presence.
