Letcher School students enjoyed a memorable day camp at the Carcassonne Community Center. The event was a perfect blend of education, recreation, and community spirit, providing the students with an enriching experience outside the traditional classroom setting.
The highlight of the day was an educational session led by Marcia Caudill, affectionately known as Carcassonne’s Schools Last Teacher. With her wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching, Marcia engaged the students in various activities that sparked their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Her lessons were both informative and interactive, allowing the students to explore new concepts in a fun and engaging way.
After the educational activities, the students had a great time playing on the playground. The outdoor setting provided them with ample space to run, play, and enjoy the fresh air. The laughter and excitement were contagious as they made new friends and strengthened existing bonds through games and team activities.
The day was capped off with a delightful outdoor meal, where students enjoyed their lunches surrounded by the natural beauty of Carcassonne. Eating outdoors added a special touch to the day, allowing the students to relax and unwind after their busy morning.
This day camp at the Carcassonne Community Center was more than just a field trip; it was an opportunity for the students to connect with their community, learn from one of its cherished educators, and create lasting memories.
Thanks to the efforts of all those who put this event together and the supportive community, the students of Letcher School had a day filled with joy, learning, and camaraderie.
